Perspectives 16

Orlando, FL

Team Q had a great week last week in Orlando with hundreds of the top innovators in the real time communications space, hosted by GENBAND and amp’d up by Kandy.

The Cognitive world is colliding with the Collaboration world creating tons of market opportunities for us all to work on. This was reinforced by both Mr. Walsh of GENBAND and Ms. Troughton of IBM. TeleMedco application took center stage as Mr. Walsh unveiled the power of IBM Watson working with GENBAND Kandy to deliver a world-class application focusing to dramatically improve the Urgent Care/Emergency Room patient experience. Qualesce is so proud to work with world-class organizations like IBM and GENBAND to deliver this solution.

The House of Blues was the perfect venue for a private concert by Mickey Thomas and Starship, building on the Star Wars (or “Comms Wars”) theme, and a fun way to “decompress” after a full day of incredible keynote speakers including Dr. Margaret Heffernan whose “everybody wins” message resonated perfectly with the spirit behind Qualesce, and David Walsh, whose introduction of the idea of “The Exchange of Everything” got everybody thinking differently.

For those who were unable to make it to this always special and productive annual event, you’ll be able to view the presentations, videos and photos from the event on the company’s website. And – make sure to sign up for a visit from the Kandymobile, which is making its second journey across the US over the next few months.

Trending at the event? NFV, SDN, IoT, OTT, and the intersection of RTC (real time communications) and IoT where people and machines interact with each other over the cloud. Tremendous innovation is possible there.

Shout out to Bita Milanian and her world class marketing team for producing another great event – they just keep getting better every year!
